1. Information That Is Not Collected

This website does not sell, trade, distribute or even collect data long-term. Some data is used for analytics (discussed later) but the following data is not collected: email address, name, personally-identifiable data, or any fingerprinting services. Magmabow.com never works with data-brokers, AI training models, or companies that serve ads based on your activity.

This website is designed to be fully anonymous, and the majority of the site should function exactly as intended, even if the user is completely unidentifiable. Many web pages that do not rely on external API/services can also be run fully offline! These pages can be saved as .html and run locally. Please note that all images are hosted externally from the html page, so will not load when offline. Additionally, downloaded html pages will not receive live updates.

2. Data Collection Reservations

Magmabow.com reserves the right to store information such as a username and password, but strictly for account creation/log-in purposes. There is currently no account system, but if one gets implemented, this data must be stored in order to authorise you. Any stored password will be securely hashed and salted, never stored in plain text.
I strongly recommend that you set your username and password as something that is unique to magmabow.com, and not used for other services.
Any personally identifiable information is strictly opt-in, and must be released/deleted after a reasonable period of time. For example, if in the future, a submission form gets added, an appropriate duration for data deletion may be a month after submission.

3. Automatically Collected Information

Like nearly all websites, some technical information about your visit is collected by the service that delivers the site to you. As a brief overview, this data logs which html page was requested, at what time, and the IP address the request came from. This data does not directly identify you to us.

Cloudflare (network/CDN layer): This site is served through Cloudflare using a tunnel. As a result, Cloudflare automatically stores technical information. This includes IP address, browser type, operating system, ISP, referring/exit pages, approximate location (e.g. country). This also includes date/time of access and general clickstream data. This data is processed by Cloudflare as an independent company with its own privacy policy at: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/. Magmabow.com does not have access to Cloudflare's raw log of individual visitors. This data is used by Cloudflare primarily for network security, abuse prevention (e.g. DDOS attacks) and performance. A significant portion of this data is strictly necessary in order to deliver the web page to you. For example, the web page cannot be delivered to you if there is no IP address associated with the request.
Magmabow.com's own server (nginx): Also logs requests for debug/admin purposes. This includes a request timestamp, requested URL and HTTP status. These are stored indefinitely, unless manually deleted. This helps me spot errors such as www.magmabow.com not redirecting to magmabow.com. This is strictly used for admin, debugging and detecting abuse. These logs are extremely cut-down to avoid storing information about your visit.
Technical data is never knowingly sold or shared with any third party services. No information is transferred from nginx to Cloudflare.

4. Cookies

This site does not set its own cookies. As part of delivering the website, Cloudflare may set functional/security/telemetry cookies, but this data is not accessed by magmabow.com.

These are not cookies, but magmabow.com uses localStorage for remembering certain user text field entries, settings, options and modes. This is fully local and not sent to magmabow.com. LocalStorage data is purely for quality of life purposes.

5. Data Processing Purposes

The limited technical data described above is processed only to:

Operate and secure the site (e.g. prevent abuse and mitigate attacks).
Diagnose technical issues.
Maintain basic performance.

6. Your Rights

Because magmabow.com does not collect personal data directly, or maintain any visitor database, there is no personal profile to access, correct or delete. If any database features are added in the future, this privacy policy will be updated. For questions about data Cloudflare processes at the network level, you may contact Cloudflare directly via their privacy policy linked above.

7. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children and data is not knowingly collected of minors. All users remain anonymous and it is impossible to determine the age of visitors.

8. Changes To This Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this policy at any time. Once updated, the "last modified" date will change. You may save this page as a .html if desired for future reference and comparison of changes.
